Built in the late 1990’s and open to the public in 2000, the London Eye was at the time the worlds tallest Ferris Wheel. Since then, it has been surpassed by a few others but still holds the crown for the “world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel”. The structure stands 443 ft tall with a diameter of 394 ft. This popular tourist attraction along the Thames River sees 3.75 million visitors annually. Its location along the river allows for beautiful reflection photos in the morning hours.
