One of One – There will be one and only one of these ever printed. As rare as a painting.
In early August of 2025, my family and I were gathering for a family reunion in Chicago. My father and I were peacefully having a cup of coffee, watching the sunrise as a shelf cloud moved in from the west. The air cool and humid. Streets typically filled with people still empty before the weekend crowd shuffled in. Minute by minute, the storm approached as the sun kissed the city with an orange glow. The timing was perfect. I raced inside to grab my camera. Frame by frame, I lined up this shot. Only after, when I was editing the final image did I see the hauntingly clear face over the lake.
My Facebook community voted on the name. Many say the more severe weather we have been having should serve as an awakening to climate change. In contrast, others say it is a reflection of our current political situation in America.
