The Willows Of Grand Teton
Wyoming 2020
One of One – There will be one and only one of these ever printed. As rare as a painting.
In early September of 2020, I would head to the Grand Teton National Park at sunrise. Gravel crackled under my tires as my suv pulled into the parking lot in the darkness. Coffee steaming from the cup, I’d shut my headlights off sitting in only the moonlight as my eyes adjusted to my surroundings. I would get out of my car carefully listening to the cues from nature to who was nearby. Once the sun began to light up the horizon, I would walk down a short trail leading towards a small hill where I would set up my tripod to take photos, often alone. It was a magical place to say the least. Moose would wander in and out of the brush below. Autumn leavs seemed to glow in the soft morning light. Some landscapes just call to be photographed in a panoramic style. The jagged peaks surrounded by dramatic clouds on this day make me want to reach for a cozy sweater and pull up next to a fire.
