Wrigley Through The Darkness
Chicago, 2026
Limited edition fine art print of 6 – Built in the 1920’s by architects Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, the Wrigley Building is iconicly Chicago. Exterior clad in white terra cotta, designed to stand out against Chicago’s darker early skyscrapers. On this night it certainly did. I was watching the sunset from my balcony in the South Loop of Chicao when a beam of light hit the clock tower of the Wrigley building perfectly. Just as the architects designed, she was glowing still amongst the now much larger skyscrapers 100 years after her completion. Photo © copyright by Derek Nielsen.
