Barcelona Expressions

Barcelona, 2024

Limited edition fine art print of 6 – Barcelona quickly stole my heart. The people, food, history, and architecture are all so charming. While wandering through the old part of Barcelona, I came across a street that just spoke to me. Something about the leading lines and the way the light was bouncing off the buildings was perfect. Photographing the street alone would have been a pretty shot, but I wanted this one to tell a story. So I sat on the church steps across from the opening of the narrow street and waited to see who came through. A delivery man, a school kid, then two beautiful older women. They were so expressive with their hands I just loved it. This shot is exactly what I was looking for. With patience comes a photographic reward.  Photo © copyright by Derek Nielsen.
