Limited edition fine art print of 6 – With absolutely zero experience in architecture, I have always been fascinated by the patterns, lines, and textures used by architects to design their buildings. The Standard Oil building, now Aon Center, was built in 1973. Its 83 floors tower over Chicago’s Millennium and Grant parks. The striking verticle lines of this building play an optical illusion on your mind while standing at its base looking up. I wanted to celebrate the clean lines of this structure while giving the eye something else to ponder in the frame. Photo © copyright by Derek Nielsen.
