Positano Breeze,
Amalfi Coast Italy, 2025
Limited Edition Fine Art Print of 6. There are few coastlines like the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Set on the lush cliffs overlooking the sea, Positano is one of a few iconic locations along the coastline. I only had two days to photograph the town meaning two sunsets and two sunrises. As usual, I was at the mercy of nature. My last night all the elements collided in perfection. Earlier in the day I had done some scouting of locations to capture. The blue lounge chairs on the right of the photo screamed iconic Italian beaches. Using the chairs and the shoreline I could pull the viewer’s eye directly to the distant buildings scattering up the hill. What I did not expect was the clouds to also form leading lines pulling the viewer back into the frame once again towards the town.  Photo © copyright Derek Nielsen Photography
