Telluride Colorado, 2023
Limited edition fine art print of 6 – After spending two days hiking in the mountains around Telluride, Colorado, I began to see different compositions in the landscapes around me. The fall colors were in absolute peak form. As I walked around the pristine Woods Lake, I was captivated by the shimmering colors reflecting off the water from the surrounding aspen trees. Using my telephoto lens, I found compositions inside these reflections reminiscent of impressionist paintings. Abstract photography is such a fun way to let the imagination run wild around familiar subjects. I love how the colors pop inside this photo. Photo © copyright by Derek Nielsen.
